Christmas morning was easy, laid back: cinnamon rolls and plenty of coffee. Thomas still doesn't get the present thing, and so far is suspicious of the present we thought he'd like best.
So, this might be totally lame, but Facebook has this application where you can make a collage out of your status updates. It was fun to go back and look through The Year in Status Updates. I write a lot about coffee and my kid, which should surprise no one. Oh, and TV. Anyway, I'd thought I'd share the ones that made my collage here. A fun little kaleidoscope of the year...
One of the best things about this past week was that my big November project was finally DONE.
I am home again, and can I just say? That I love coming home after being away. There is something so assuring and comforting about being in the midst of your nest, however humble it might be. I love coming back to my normal life, and realizing how much I love my little family, my little life.
Thomas and I are headed south for quick roadtrip...the Messiah to hear tonight at our home church, which I am looking forward to so ridiculously, some time with Lovie and Gramps, and then stuffing Christmas stockings for our Navajo friends on Tuesday night. That means the hats I have been working on for a month will finally be headed to the heads that need them! I am ready for them to GO!
For the second year in a row, we've had SNOW before Christmas in Mississippi.
I am kinda liking posting a day behind, mostly because it will remove the pressure of posting something before midnight. It felt really awesome last night to realize that hey! I don't have to post anything! it's already done!
