We've been keeping it low-key around here, staying close to home. Two big weekends in a row (Thomas' birthday party, then going home for my Mom's birthday and visiting Beaux's side of the family, too) will do that to a person. But today we had lunch with good friends, and then a few errands. We were on our way to the bank when Thomas said, "Let's go to Target!"
Obviously I have raised the child right.
He loves Target because of the popcorn. And the toys. Mostly the popcorn.
I love having popcorn dates. Sometimes he's content to snack and sit in the shopping cart, but lately he always wants to sit in the cafe and watch the cars go by. That's really okay by me.
Later, he entertained himself like millions of other children before him - by hiding in the clothing racks. This right here is why I will probably never hand over my iPhone or let him video game his way through a shopping trip. Well, never say never, but come on. We can't let children scaring their mothers by disappearing behind a hoodie become a lost art, can we?
I can REMEMBER doing that. My mom was much more of a shopper than I am...I would go into the middle of the circular racks and play house. And then get into trouble...every time. Neither of us ever learned. I love that picture with that big sweatshirt and those little legs sticking out the bottom. Almost as much as I love coming here and finding you! xoxo

Hey friend! No worries, were all fine here. I totally need to write on the blog, right? I really have a lot to say. And now I actually have time - and many coffeehouses to explore! How is the school year going so far for you, teacher lady? Xoxo Sam
